Happy New Year's Eve, everyone! Man, I cannot believe that tomorrow it will be 2013! Time seriously does fly. I don't know about the rest of you, but 2012 has not been the best year for me. I have been through A LOT and am ready to lay my trials to rest and look forward to making 2013 a better year. One thing that has really been a shining light this year was starting this blog. I seriously love writing it and I hope you guys enjoy reading it, too! I can't wait to see where this blog and my new nail polish line will take me in 2013! I just want to say thank you to all of my followers and everyone who reads my blog. Your support means everything to me, and I am always open to suggestions if you have anything you'd like to see done on the blog that I'm not already doing! Enough of being sappy...onto polish!
Today, I have New Year's mani for you. It is my first attempt at a firework mani. It's definitely not perfect, but with moving and everything I didn't have time to get it just how I wanted it. But it still ended up being fun and I think you can tell what it's supposed to be! :D
Hope you all have a great night ringing in the new year! Be safe and I'll see y'all in 2013!

China Glaze Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away Collection Picks
Hey everyone! Long time, no blog...right?! I have missed everyone! I have been busy with the holidays and then I got SUPER sick and am just starting to feel a tiny bit better today. Today, I have my two picks from the China Glaze Worlds Away Collection. I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago, but just haven't had time to post them. Right now, I only have two of the polishes because they were the only ones that I just *had* to have. I will probably purchase more of them later!
First up is Running In Circles. This is a glittery green polish and is it beautiful! Seriously. This is definitely one of my favorite greens I own if not, my very favorite! Green is my favorite color, so I can definitely never own enough green polish.
It's beautiful, right?!?!
Next, I have It's A Trep-eze. Okay, this is also most definitely one of my favorite polishes that I own! I love it because it looks a lot like most Indie glitters that you will see, am I am very into those right now! This polish has a white base with multicolored glitter. It's a glitter bomb and I am in l-o-v-e! I will definitely be pulling this polish out in the Spring...it reminds me a lot of fresh flowers!
Hope you enjoy these polishes as much as I do! I will definitely have a New Year's post up tomorrow. We are closing on our house tomorrow morning and will be moving this week and then next week I will be out of town for a work trip. But after mid January, I should be back into the full swing of things. Oh, and my nail polish line on Etsy should also be up and running by February!

Ultamate Holiday
Hey everyone! I would just like to apologize once again about my disappearance from my blog. I have just been so busy. I can't wait until January is over and things will calm down. Then I can get back to blogging on a regular basis again!
Tonight I have a super awesome polish that I recently purchased from a blog sale - Ultamate Holiday from the China Glaze 2011 Ulta Exclusives Collection. Oh man...all I can say about this polish is holy holo, batman! It is so awesome and these pictures do it no justice! I am sooo happy I was able to score this polish! The one thing I will say is that it does dry with a sort of gritty, rough texture. Kinda weird. The following photos are of 3 coats of Ultamate Holiday and a coat of Gelous and Seche Vite for the top coat. It looks pretty good in the pictures, but I think it could use at least one more coat of Seche Vite to make it perfectly smooth.
Overall, I really love this polish! Also, I would like to say I'm sorry for my sad, little nubs. My ring finger broke and so I had to file all the rest of my nails down to the same size. :( :( :(

Nails for Newton + Expecto Patronum
Hey everyone. Today, I am blogging with a heavy heart like many of you. I honestly wasn't planning on swatching or blogging this weekend due to being so overwhelmed with other things. However, the blogging community has decided to all wear white manis today in honor of the victims from the tragedy in CT yesterday. I honestly can't even imagine what that community and the families of the victims are going through. Burying a child is nothing a parent should ever have to do and I am absolutely disgusted by this horrific event. It is so important now that we all send our thoughts and prayers to Newtown, so they know that they are not alone. We are here to help and support them through this trying time.
I have chosen to wear Dollish Polish Expecto Patronum for Nails for Newtown. If you don't know, Expecto Patronum is a patronus charm from Harry Potter. This charm conjures up positive feelings of the caster and also acts as a protector against Dementors. In many ways the employees of this school acted as a patronus for the precious children. Many of them standing up to the gunman and dying to save their students. Not only is this a beautiful and heavenly looking polish, but I thought the name went well with this situation. The entire community of Newtown needs as many positive feelings sent their way as possible. I also pray in the future that this town and all of the other towns and cities of the US are protected from any more tragic events such as this. I pray everyone in Newtown can eventually be able to find peace in knowing that their babies are now in Heaven and really are resting peacefully.
Also, I will be selecting the winner of my giveaway tomorrow. I was planning on doing that today, but in light of everything that is going on, I felt like this was more important.

Zoya Christmas Dotticure
Hey everyone! I want to sincerely apologize for the lack of posts this week. I have been very busy at work and we are about to move into a house at the end of the month, so I've been working on packing and all sorts of stuff. Blogging has kind of taken a back seat to all of this. :o( I just want to warn you in advance that I may not post too much within the next couple of weeks, but I will be back full time in January!
Tonight, I have a Christmas dotticure for you! I used Zoya Logan, Ziv and Trixie. I used a set of nail dotting tools to complete this design. I think it turned out pretty well, so I hope you like it!!!
Don't forget to enter my giveaway! You have until Friday at midnight CST. See y'all next time!

Nominated Again?!
Hey yooooou guys!!! Oh my gosh. Words cannot even describe how happy I am right now! Last week I was nominated for the Liebster Award for the first time...and here I am again this week with two more nominations! I seriously can't believe it! The purpose of this award is to help bring attention to blogs with less than 200 followers. This week I was nominated by Skeeter at Skeeter Style and Katelynn at Polish Playground!
So, just so you are all aware I am going to go over the instructions of the Liebster Award again.
1. Post 11 random facts about yourself.
2. Nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers.
3. Create 11 new questions to ask the 11 bloggers you have nominated.
Since I was nominated last week, I won't be nominating 11 new bloggers and coming up with the 11 questions because all of my bloggers still haven't posted about their awards. However, I will be more than happy to answer the questions from Skeeter and Katelynn because the purpose of this is to really be able to get to know bloggers on a personal level. Not to mention, coming up with questions is no easy task and I appreciate their hard work and nominations!
Skeeter's Questions:
1. What inspired you to start your blog?
When I first moved to Huntsville, I couldn't find a job for a few months and was really bored sitting at home. Somehow, I luckily stumbled across Chloe's Nails and was hooked! After obsessing and reading every one of her posts I started searching out other blogs and eventually decided to start my own.
2. What is your favorite thing to blog about? (i.e. nail art, new polishes, indies, oldies but goodies, etc.)
This is a good question. I would LOVE to have more nail art on my blog, but that won't be happening until I get a bit better. Right now, I would have to say I love to blog about indie polishes. This is pretty near and dear to my heart because I am about to start selling my own nail polish line!
3. If you could design your own line of polishes what would they be like?
Wow! What a coincidence! My nail polish line will mainly consist of glitter polishes and probably some holos because those are my favorite!
4. Where are you from?
I am originally from Jacksonville, FL but currently live in Huntsville, AL. I am ready to go back to FL ASAP!
5. What is your all time favorite polish?
I love so many polishes it is hard to say, but holo polishes are my very favorite!
6. What's your favorite song/artist?
Rascal Flatts, Rascal Flatts and Rascal Flatts! Can you tell I'm OBSESSED?!
7. Do you have any nicknames?
I usually go my Missa for short. Also, everyone in my office calls me Melissa as a joke because people constantly get my name wrong. Super annoying!
8. What is your favorite Holiday?
Please don't think I'm weird, but Halloween all the way. I don't know why, but I have always looooved scary movies! I also love to dress up and have fun. It is also a MUST that I attend Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios every year!
9. Do you have any pets?
Why yes I do. I have two dogs and a kitten.
10. Do you have any strange habits?
Um, I kind of have OCD about certain things. For example, I organize all of the clothes in my closet by color.
11. How often do you change your polish?
More often than not, I change my polish at least every other day.
Katelynn's Questions:
1. How many untried polishes do you have?
Not sure of the exact number, but I would say at least 20. >.<
2. What is your favorite Christmas song?
My favorite Christmas song has to be Mary Did You know? It's just so beautiful! However, the child in me also favors the Chipmunk Christmas song, too!
3. What is your favorite Indie polish?
Right now, my favorite brand is Jindie Nails. I also love Dollish Polish!
4. How did your love for polish start?
I have terrible nails. They have always been weak and broke constantly. After I stumbled upon some nail blogs it really inspired me to find a way to grow my nails out long and strong. Now I am officially obsessed!
5. How often do you do challenges?
I did my first challenge during October and would like to do another one really soon!
6. Have you ever made your own polish?
Yes! I actually made my first polish this week!
7. What will be your New Years Resolution?
Good question. I haven't really thought about this yet. Next year I would really like to figure out what I want to do career wise, whether I'm stuck in Huntsville or if I get to move somewhere that I can have my dream job.
8. Favorite form of nail art?
I love tape manis and gradient manis.
9. Favorite song?
This just might be the hardest question, ever. For now, I am going to say "What Hurts The Most" by Rascal Flatts because they are my favorite band. But choosing just one of their songs is tough!
10. Where do you buy your polish?
I buy from all sorts of places, but the majority of my stash comes from Ulta and Etsy.
11. Did you check out my blog and follow it??
Yes and yes!

Kleancolor Techno High Collection + Blog Changes!
Heeeey to all of my nail polish lovin' peeps! This week has been exhausting! Whew! Well, I have some exciting and not-so-exciting news for you tonight. I guess I'll start with the good news (?) and then we'll get to the rest as I'm doing my review. Tonight, I am trying out a new layout for the blog. I have a different way of taking photos and have also changed up my watermark. Please feel free to let me know what y'all think!
Tonight I have swatches of Kleancolor's Techno High metallic polish collection. Okay, soooo I have been wanting these polishes for a while and was really disappointed with some things when I finally tried them! Overall, I was very disappointed with the brushes. Please do not hate me for posting some messy swatches because this was the best I could do! The brushes were uneven and pieces of them were just falling off. Ugh. Maybe it is because I have mini bottles. I have to say, I usually LOVE the brushes in mini polishes because I have thin nails....but these - no thanks! I will get into detail on each color later! Just to let you know, I did not use top coat in any photos and all of the colors are of one coat each.
First up is Metallic Pink. I love the color and the formula on this one was really good. IMO, it also had the best brush.
Next up is Metallic Yellow. I also love this color, it's almost golden. The problem I had with this is that when I went to try this polish on I noticed it was 90% dried out. Yep, a brand new polish! What the heck?! I loaded that baby with polish thinner and shook it for the longest time and really didn't get anywhere. I was able to get enough polish to take these photos, but I think I may just have to throw this bottle away. Total bummer.
Metallic Purple - I love this color! I guess that's not surprising since I LOVE purple polish. The formula on this one was pretty decent. Definitely workable, but the brush...not so much. It was worth it in the end, though, because I do love the color.
Metallic Jungle is next. This is a nice light blue polish. Again, the formula on this was decent and the brush wasn't too terrible. Definitely one of my favorite colors of the collection and in general. I do apologize for the following pictures. Any time I take pictures of a polish this color, the camera gives me total lobster hands! Ugh.
Okay, Metallic Navy is next. I love this color...I really do. But the brush = suckville! This must be the worst brush I have ever used. I didn't even bother to clean up the mani because I wanted you all to see how terrible it was. Very, very sad. Oh, and this one was goopy.
Last up is Metallic Brown. I was really looking forward to this polish because I don't have many brown polishes and it looked really pretty in the bottle. Okay...the formula on this was a goopy nightmare! Aaaaah! I put some polish thinner in it and it helped some...but the formula was still awful. This is why my ring finger looks all lumpy...couldn't even it out!
Okay, overall I love every color. However, the terrible formulas combined with cheap, uneven brushes really made me grade this collection a C at best. Maybe next time I will order a metallic in a full size bottle and see if it helps! Have a great day!

Christmas Layering: China Glaze Running In Circles + China Glaze I'm Not Lion
Happy Saturday, y'all! I am so happy that it's Saturday that I have decided to do two posts today! I have one scheduled to post around noon, but I really wanted to share my mani that I did last night. I wanted to do something Christmas-y for y'all since my post later is not Christmas related.
Last night I decided to layer China Glaze I'm Not Lion over China Glaze Running In Circles. I ended up really liking this combo! I also realized that I have never done a post about I'm Not Lion...and it's such a pretty polish! A post for Running In Circles will come later this week! :o) The following photos are of one coat of I'm Not Lion with Seche Vite top coat.
Isn't it pretty?! You may also notice I have a new watermark, which I have talked about in my post scheduled for later today! Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Zoya Roxy
Good evening, polish lovers! I hope you all have had a good week so far. Work has been really busy for me, so I am ready for some shopping this weekend with some friends! Come on, Saturday! Maybe I will be able to get some Christmas shopping knocked out...because I definitely haven't started that! Eek!
Today's polish is Zoya Roxy. Um, I found this on clearance at Ulta and can't believe it! I love it (partially because my dog's name is Roxy...hehe)! This is a magenta jelly polish with more magenta glitter! It's so squishy looking and pretty! The following photos are two coats of Roxy and Seche Vite top coat.
Um, yeah. That's all I have to say. True love. You can find these polishes at Ulta for $8 each. FYI: Zoya Ornate swatches coming soon!
