Fresh Paint Once Upon A Time Collection

Happy Sunday, everyone! Man, I can't believe the weekend always flies by SO quickly! It's hard to believe that tomorrow is already Monday. At least I have The Walking Dead to look forward to tonight. Although, I can't believe it's already the season finale! AMC needs to have their shows last longer!!! :(

Well, today I have another polish brand that is new to me - Fresh Paint. These polishes are sold at Five Below and all have a 3-free formula. The following photos are of the Once Upon A Time Collection *I think*. I bought these a couple of weeks ago and took a picture of the sign, but must have accidentally deleted it off of my phone. Boooo. Check out the photos!

FYI - All of these polishes are shimmery and dry semi-matte, but since I love shiny-ness, all of my pictures have top coat. :)

The first polish up is Enchanted. This polish is a beautiful light pink. It's so girly - I love it! The following photos are of two coats of Enchanted and one coat of Seche Vite.

The second polish I have for you is Hakuna Matata - only named after the best Disney movie, ever! This polish is a dusty orange. Orange is definitely my least favorite color, but I really like it more than expected. The following is two coats of Hakuna Matata and one coat of Seche Vite.

Finally I have Glass Slipper. This is probably my favorite of the three polishes! I just love the light blue! It reminds me a lot of Cinderella by Sinful Colors. I may do a comparison on here the next few days to see. I believe this main difference is that Cinderella actually has pink shimmer, whereas this one has a blue shimmer. Check it out!

So what do y'all think? I really liked these and definitely thought they were worth the money! The formula on all three polishes was good and they were all easily opaque in two coats. You can get these at Five Below - 3 for $5!

BTW, when you have these on you can see the shimmer - especially in the light! It was tricky to catch it on camera.

Color Club Blobbicure

Good evening! Who's happy it's Thursday?! Only one more day until the weekend! Woohoo!

Tonight I have a quick post for you - it's my first blobbicure! For this mani I used Color Club Mod In Manhattan and Pardon My French. These are part of the Color Club Wanderlust Collection, which I will have swatches of very soon! It's safe to say that I loved these colors so much that I wanted to try my first blobbicure with them!

If you've never seen one of these done before, the trick is to put drops of polish on while your base coat is still wet. Just drop the polish directly from the brush and voila! Pretty easy and quick if you're looking for something different to do!

What do ya'll think of the color combo?! I really love it! I can't wait to show you swatches of the whole collection!

March Birchbox

Hello all and happy Tuesday! Glad that everyone survived Monday!!! Today I have for you my monthly Birchbox product review. I just signed up for Birchbox and this is actually the first one I have gotten in and I am definitely already in love! If you have never heard of it, Birchbox ships out once a month ($10 flat rate) and contains samples of five different makeup/beauty products. Your samples are based off of a questionnaire you fill out when signing up to determine what products are best for you. You can also buy full sized products on the website, many of which are exclusive to Birchbox. Points are also accumulated with every purchase (1 point for every $1 spent), and once you get 100 points you can redeem it for $10 on the website! Pretty awesome!

Now for the goods. I am going to start with my least favorite product and end with my favorite!

First up is Brightenup! by Vasanti Cosmetics. This product is supposed to mimic microdermabrasion and leave you with smoother skin. Suggested usage is 3-5 times a week. I will 100% say that this product delivered on what it was supposed to do. My face definitely felt smoother and all around better after using this. The problem was it just hurt my face - plain and simple. It's a rough product and is much like scrub. How it felt while I was using it was enough for me not to order this product in a full size. I'll definitely finish out the rest of my sample, though!

Next is Hello by Harvey Prince. This is described as a perfume with a mixture of citrus and floral notes. It's definitely not a scent I would choose for myself. It is very light, though, so I have been wearing it since I got my box. It doesn't smell bad by any means. It's just not something I would usually choose, but I'll finish it off!

Next is Peace Be Still by Templespa. This is a calming face and body balm. I actually really liked this product! It has a very light scent (I usually go for fruitier smells from Bath & Body Works), but it works like a charm! I have been using it on my hands every morning before work and they feel moisturized all day! I haven't once felt like I needed to reapply lotion throughout the day at all. This one is definitely recommended!

Now I have Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter, which is a luminizing gel. This basically comes in a nail polish bottle and it is suggested that you dab it on your cheeks and eyebrow bones for a nice glow. I absolutely love it! I still use a little blush and dab this right over it, and I have a nice shimmery, sunkissed glow! I think the sample will last me a while, but I will most likely be purchasing a full size when I run out.

And last, but not least is my favorite sample...Beauty Protector. This baby provides heat protection for your hair, smooths hair, detangles, and is a leave-in conditioner. Oh yeah, and it smells AMAZING! The best way I can describe the smell is vanilla. I have been using Pureology 21, which I still love, but will most likely be swapping over to this product. That's mainly because this one is less expensive...and did I mention it smells like vanilla?! I can literally smell it throughout the day. It's a nice, light scent. You will love it!

Overall, I am extremely pleased with my first Birchbox. Were all the products for me? No. But I'm always up for trying new things and they were truly all good products. I just can't wait for my box next month! If you'd like to sign up you can go here!

Polished by KPT Basic Thermals

Happy Monday! I'm so thankful to be off of work today...especially because it is actually BEAUtiful outside! So glad the weather is finally warming up!

Today I have for you two thermal polishes from Polished by KPT's Basic Thermal collection. These are actually the first thermal polishes I have ever tried, so I was super excited when they finally arrived in the mail! I will say, I didn't have to wait long! The items got to me very quickly after I ordered them! Just so you know, these babies change colors when placed in cold/warm water. It's awesome!

The first polish I have for you today is Delilac. It is definitely my favorite of the two! It is a beautiful purple that is perfect for spring time! The following photos are of 2 coats of Delilac with 1 coat of Seche Vite.

These first few pictures are of the polish when it's warm.

A few transitioning photos...

And now cold photos...

In this one you can see both colors!

Next up is Kiss Me Before Sunrise. I also loved this one and think it's a perfect addition to your polish collection for Spring! I have been wearing this one for the last 3 days and have just now had some chipping, so the polish formula is definitely awesome! The following photos are 2 coats of KMBS and 1 coat of Seche Vite.

First are photos of the polish when it's warm.

Now the transitioning photos..

 And last, the warm photos...

And hopefully you can see both of the colors in this one!

You can buy these polishes at Polished by KPT for $12.00 each!

I'm baaaaack! Funky Fingers Polish Time!

Holy cow, y'all! I can't believe it has been TWO years since I've last posted. I don't want to bore you with the last two years of my life, but basically I have been traveling for work. Because of that I wasn't home for an extended period of time and it was just too hard to bring everything with me to keep the blog going. I have still been painting my nails religiously, but have spent a lot of my time at the nail salon getting that good 'ole shellac polish! Now that I'm home and have a more stable schedule I'm BACK!

Today I have swatches of Funky Fingers polish from Five Below. We just had one open here last week and I was in polish heaven! I have seen these online and have always wanted some, so I am probably way too excited that we have a Five Below here now!

Up first is Kingston. This is a BRIGHT orange creme polish! I probably should have used protective eyewear when swatching this baby because it seriously almost blinded me! If you love orange, you definitely need this. The photos do not even do justice to how bright it is! This following is two coats of Kingston with one coat of Seche Vite.

Next is Pop Artist. This is a hot pink creme polish and I definitely love it! The following is two coats of Pop Artist with a coat of Seche Vite.

Now, I have Power Play to show you. This is a beautiful purple creme polish. I don't think I have any purples quite like it, so it's a nice addition to my collection! The following is two coats of Power Play with a coat of Seche Vite.

Last, but not least is 220 Volts. Surprisingly, this is my personal favorite. It's such a beautiful bright blue polish...I just love it! This is two coats of 220 Volts with a coat of Seche Vite.

The formula of all of the polishes was quite nice. They were all easily opaque with two coats (maybe only one) and dried fairly quickly. If you have a Five Below near you, definitely pick these up! These would make a great addition to your colors for the summer. These are all 3 for $5!

P.S. I'm so glad to be back and just as a reminder you can follow me on FacebookTwitter and Instagram. See you next time!
